Summer in Maryland means crab, and mom Jess created this pink-and-prep themed party to celebrate a three-year birthday and the catch of the season. “My daughter, Charli, loves crabs, she is from Maryland, and I must admit, I heart prep!” Jess says. “What other possible theme could there be?”
Preppy Pink Crabby Party printables include cupcake toppers, favor tags, a favor box template, and confetti. The sweet tutus were made by Amy of Coffee, Crafts, and Cupcakes; visit her blog for a DIY ‘tutu tutorial’ (say it fast, it's a joy!). Polka dot balloons and candy-striped straws are from Polka Dot Market. “I’m not sure if there is a place where you can get cuter polka dot items!” Jess says.
Jess purchased the crab net from Amazon.com, and dyed it fuchsia with RIT dye. Adults got to take home homemade crab spice with Old Bay seasoning in glass jars with custom labels.
“My husband made the amazing Crabby Bar and Beach sign, which is prob my most favorite part, aside from the actual bar, which was a labor of love,” Jess says. “The crabby bar was originally purchased from a second hand shop and restored by me- an amazing find!” Look in the lower left corner to see one of the party’s stars: Maryland crab. Cute crab mallets provided, crabby flip-flops optional!
Crab-themed cupcake toppers are from Lynlee’s Petite Cakes. “Wow, is all I can really say! Fondant cupcake toppers to just swoon over. Which, I must add, arrived in perfect condition,” Jess says.
Inspiration for the cupcake push-pops by CupKate’s Event Design. “Every now and then you see a genius idea and think, wow that is awesome,” Jess says. “Well, that is how I feel about cupcake push pops: the perfect party favor. I mean really, so beyond cute and your kids will just love them. Gosh, even more then kids- these could be great wedding favors too.” Jess ordered her giant-sized pom decorations from The Flair Exchange.
